Adventures in Python: Origins
Last year I decided to throw my efforts in to learning Python. I ended up taking a Coursera course titled, "Python for Everybody", and bought the book "Automating The Boring Stuff". Over the span of the course I saw my efforts rewarded with an ever deepening understanding of the language.
The problem was, I didn't know how to apply it. In my work center at the United States Air Force, I simply did not have the access or rights to apply Python programs. That would have been the easiest way for me to apply my knowledge, as I could have streamlined a great many processes. I wasn't even allowed to use Powershell! The reason for these restrictions speaks for itself in a Department of Defense network, but I was still at a loss of what to do with my new found skillset.
At home I didn't find much inspiration either. However, I've finally found inspiration for a few projects. Let this be my anthem call! They are mostly analytic based, but a few will create some quality of life improvements for my home network. Looking forward to sharing!
